The legends make it scary

The legend says that Dr Chakajian came from Europe to buy the asylum and to use it for his experiments on live human subjects that were originally convicted criminals. The patients were kept in cells with thick walls, in the basement and their screaming was barely heard from outside.

It seems that one night a fire started in which the doctor, part of the staff and even some of the new residents died. They say that a few patients managed to escape and they either were never heard of again or returned to the asylum.
