Buttermilk Falls Natural Area

Buttermilk Falls Natural Area

County Parks in PA, Delighting Visitors for Generations!

Named for the beautiful 45 foot waterfall located within it, Buttermilk Falls Natural Area is a wonderland of natural beauty. Set aside as an area that is to be preserved untouched by human intervention, this is a great place to see animals in their natural habitat. This was a favorite place for Fred Rogers of television fame to visit as a child when his grandfather owned the land in the mid 1900s.

A small picnic pavilion and restrooms make this a great place to come spend an afternoon with the family. This Indiana County Park is truly beautiful.
