One of the Most Distinctive Arboretums in Pennsylvania!

Begun in the early 1800s this arboretum has a huge variety of trees and plants that will fascinate visitors. Located on 650 acres Tyler Arboretum has over 20 miles of hiking trails, a butterfly house that is open during the warm months, several historic buildings and a Pinetum featuring an impressive collection of pine, spruce, hemlock, fir and more!  See some of the original plants and trees planted by the Painter brothers in the early 1800s, marvel at the giant Sequoia tree which is one of the largest in the eastern US, and lose yourself amidst the labyrinthine  Meadow Maze.

Visitors can participate in classes, tours and educational workshops for kids and adults.  Affordable admission ensures the whole family can go! Tyler Arboretum is open year round except for Thanksgiving day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
