Claytopia is place where you can make something valuable for yourself or someone else. Choose your bisque piece, decide how you would like to paint it, and have fun - it's as simple as that! In one week you will be able to take your masterpiece home. Claytopia offers a wide variety of pottery to choose from, and you can also order pieces if you cannot find what you are looking for.

Painting pottery at Color Me Mine is a new, fun idea that appeals to everyone. Create your own gifts, have a unique party, or escape the stress of modern living by painting your own piece of pottery. Color Me Mine is a relaxing, inviting space, complete with contemporary music and a friendly environment. First you chose the ceramic piece you would like to paint. Next you select colors and have fun painting! The studio will glaze and fire your piece for you. Last, pick up your finished piece and enjoy! Studio fees are $10 for adults, $7 for kids 12 and under, and most of the ceramic prices are between $15 and $30.

Pottery Classes Available for All Ages

Dingle Potter Wildcare offers workshops, personal teacher, and available studio time. All of the clay used is locally sourced and the pieces are fired right in the studio. Classes for adults range from beginner to intermediate and come in different packages to meet your needs. Children's workshops are at all skill levels, so your child can learn how to create art at their own learning pace. Workshops include patio night where you will create patio lights and windchimes, and clan night where you can bring your group of friends can make their own creations.

Riverbottom Pottery specializes in one-of-a-kind hand thrown stoneware pottery. Pottery classes are available and held in the modern studio in Harrisburg. Riverbottom has all new wheels, separate clay prep and trimming stations, bisque and glaze kilns, and a fully stocked glazing room. For those who prefer hand-building, Riverbottom Pottery has a new Hand-Building studio that is equipped with a slab roller, extruder, and large tables for creating great artwork. The Pottery Works has every tool and material you will need to create a unique piece of art! Choose from over 250 pieces of pottery, 150 glazes, stencils, stamps, and more. When you are finished creating your pottery you can pick it up a week later to take home. You can also create accessories such as bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. Training and assistance is available for those who have never made jewelry before and these pieces can be taken home the same day you make them!

Windblown Studio is a peaceful environment which offers pottery classes for those who haven't had any experience in pottery sculpting, events for anyone to come and join, and memberships for anyone who would like to continue. Potters' wheels, electric kiln, large work tables, and a great selection of hand-building tools available.

Classes are small and personal and intended for ages 15 and up. Learn to throw pottery on the potters' wheel. If you do not want to commit to a full class session join a one hour "Clay Experience", which is one half hour of instruction followed by one half hour of throwing your own. Group rates are also available.
